Yesterday was Joel's birthday! We started the day with no power! It was actually very nice to just snuggle by the fire and spend the day together! Kamden was out of school so it was nice that all 4 of us were home for Joel's birthday. We got power back about noon and I started preparing Joel's dinner. There was lots of prep involved so that took me most of the afternoon. I managed to fit in some much needed study time and then on to dinner! Here are a few pictures of Joel blowing out his candles! One of Joel's good friends, Mike and his wife Casey joined us for dinner as well. They just live a few blocks from us so they were able to get out in the weather and make it! Thanks for braving the weather to join us!!
We also had a kid free night on Saturday and went to Sho-Guns to celebrate Joel's birthday with some friends. Here are a few pictures from that too. We LOVE eating here!

Glad to see you guys made it through the ice madness okay. We had electricity the whole time, so the time off was sublime! The boys and I have had a great time! Tell Joel we said happy birthday.
